The Downtown Winter Farmers’ Market begins Friday at the Iowa Events Center. Throughout the three-day market, more than 10,000 people are expected to attend.
Elizabeth Weyers, the Manager of the Downtown Winter Farmers’ Market, said that the market is a great way to support local businesses and vendors.
“We end our regular season in October and so we kind of have a little bit of a gap. So this is an opportunity for some of those farmers to come out and sell their seasonal produce. But also a lot of our local businesses that use these events to kind of build their brand to come out and share what they have for the holiday seasons. We also have 13 Spark vendors that will be here. So those vendors that are in our Spark DSM business incubator that need that, you know, we allow kind of a barrier-free entry to the market and kind of support them in different ways. They’re going to be present here as well,” Weyers said.
Over 100 vendors are attending the market selling everything from late-season produce to holiday goods. Where to find these vendors after the Farmers’ Market?
